The cover art for this issue of lines was contributed by Geevan
a.k.a. Nanda Kandasamy, who is a Toronto based Sri Lankan artist

The ambivalence about whether the figure depicted is facing up
towards us, or down and away from us, captures the contradictions
and complexities of the imagined spaces in her head – and, indeed,
the imagined spaces and places of the many intersecting territorial
nationalisms (and the attendant contestations) in Sri Lanka today.
